Can’t Believe My Baby’s Almost One!

Cannot BELIEVE I’m into my last full month with Monty before he’s one! I’ll soon have a TODDLER and not a baby, how wild is that? Everyone always says life goes faster the older you get, but I genuinely can’t get my head around how quickly this first year has gone. I’ve never experienced time fly by so fast in my life.

I’m so excited for him to get older and start learning new things. Walking, talking, and all the fun milestones ahead but there’s definitely a part of me that feels homesick for that first year. I really tried to soak up every single second, but between hormones, tiredness, and just the chaos of life, I feel like I’ve already forgotten so many of those tiny moments.

Without a doubt, it’s been the best year of my life. I truly feel like being a mum is where I’m meant to be. It’s definitely gotten harder as he’s gotten older though. Those 5–7 month days were toughhh. I always knew life would change, but I didn’t quite realize how little peace and quiet there’d be in a day 😂 especially now that he’s dropping his second nap! I’m already anxious thinking about the days when he stops napping altogether!

That said, it’s also been way more FUN than I ever expected. Watching his little personality come through, he’s got such a cheeky side, just makes every day so special. I always thought I’d already be pregnant again by now, but my mindset has totally changed. Right now, I just want to soak up every second with Monty while he’s still little.

I’m so excited to celebrate his first birthday, but also to celebrate my first year of being his mum. After wanting this for so long, it feels like such a huge milestone for both of us. 🤍
