My Botox Journey!
Getting botox after Monty, my top beauty products I use weekly, and more!
Botox After Baby: My Honest Thoughts
Alright, let’s have a chat about Botox. If you’re a new mum or just curious, I’ve got some proper insight for you. Honestly, I didn’t realize just how much I loved it until I had to stop!
My Botox Journey
I started getting Botox when I was 18, so it’s been part of my routine for over a decade. I hadn’t really thought about it until pregnancy meant hitting pause.
Without it, I realized just how much it does for me. First off, it keeps my skin looking smooth and fresh—like, I hadn’t realized how much of a difference it made until I looked properly knackered without it. And my eyes? Let’s just say I discovered my brows naturally drop a bit, which made my eyes look heavier and more tired. Botox gives them this subtle little lift that makes me look like I’ve had a solid night’s kip (even when I’m running on fumes).
And then there’s my resting grump face. I’ve got one of those RBFs that’s absolutely brutal. Without Botox, I look permanently stroppy, even when I’m actually in a decent mood. Freezing those frown lines softens everything, so I look less like I’m in a constant mood and more like someone you’d actually want to have a cuppa with. Bonus? Since getting Botox again, I’ve been ID’d twice for alcohol. I mean, I’m not complaining… I’ll take that as a win!
What I Learned During My Botox Break
Taking a break during pregnancy wasn’t all bad. It made me realize how much Botox helps me feel confident and put together. I hadn’t grasped how big a difference it made until it was gone.
My Go-To Pro
Dr. Claudia Morley (find her on IG) is my absolute fave. She’s brilliant and knows exactly how to keep things looking natural but effective. I get everything from my crow’s feet up frozen, and honestly, it’s the one treatment I’ll never give up.
Final Thoughts
If you’re a new mum feeling a bit knackered and in need of a pick-me-up, Botox might just be your thing. For me, it’s not just about looking good—it’s about feeling a bit more like myself again during this whirlwind phase of life.
